Hello,

I´ve got a problem with my numbering of figures and tabels.
I work with FrameMaker 7.0 on a PC (Windows xp). I use a format with four titles/subtitels. I want the numbers of the figures to start with the number of the main chapter and the second number continuously inside every chapter (like 1-1 ... 1-2 ... 1-3..), just as normal.

The first number of the figures is the right main chapter number. Fine! :) But unfortunately, the second number starts with one again after every subtitel.

The numbering for the titel looks like:
T: <n+> <=0> <=0> <=0> <> <> <>
This is for 3 subtitels and figures, tables and equations.
1st subtitel:
T: <n>.<n+> <> <> <> <> <>
and so on.

The numbering for the figure than looks like this:
T: <n> <> <> <> - <n+> <> <>

Has everyone an idea why it doesn´t work? Could there be any other mistake then the numbering of the layer?

Thanks for your help!

Tom

Try this or a variation for the figure numbers
<$chapnum>-< ><n+>
