number disable after being inactive???

Does a number get disable after sitting too long without any activity? I switched two extension phyiscally on the wire panel a while back (with a small screwdriver, don't ever do that). I don't know if i fried something but after rewiring with the proper punch down tool, I connected the phone back to the jack. On the phone (model 3904), the time and date comes up but nothing else and no dial tone. If i try to call that number, i get a busy signal.

If it's disable, how do you enable it. Otherwise where do I start to troubleshoot this. Thanks!

I can see dn, display name, etc. On the bottom line is:

I'm not sure if this is correct because it's displaying last years date.

When i try
"ld 10
enlu XXXX" it rejects the enlu XXXX, assuming XXXX is the dn. Could it be that i'm missing a step?

xxxx is not the DN but the TN (terminal number)

ex:

ENLU 10 0 2 1 (Loop shelf card unit)

For an opt11

ENLU 2 5 (card unit)

like pcod stated prt the dn to locate the tn, but if the set was plugged in during midnights to should be up by now. nortels way of a bad set getting well after a good nights sleep

johnpoole is right. The midnight routine will check for TN's that are programmed but not connected and disable it. It will enable the TN if the phone is conncted again, but only when the midnight routine runs. However, nortel has stated that in some cases your telephone will be disabled if you disconnect the telephone witout forwarding it and if someone in that period dials the DN of the phone.
