Hello all.

I have had this problem since installing service pack 6a. On startup, it seems to have 2 processes under NTVDM ie -
nwlscrpt.exe and nwtray.exe. I know that NTVDM is executed when a 16 bit DOS application is ran, but it should close when the 16 bit application closes...it doesnt.

I have also applied to the hotfix to the sevice pack, and that didnt seem to work.
The only thing that I can do is to kill the NTVDM in the task manager and all is fine.

I have also been getting the D. Watson error on DELLDMI.exe...so if anyone can help with this ...much is appreciated!

Thanks
Angie

>>As for DellDMI, have you installed the post-SP6 security >>rollup package? This breaks DMI.

Hi John. Yes, installed the post-SP6 security rollup package. I disabled the DMI and will wait until night backup to reboot to see if it fixed that problem.
I will check into your link. thanks

Ther seems to be no way to get Dell DMI working with the post-SP6a fix. I've been in contact with Dell and they just do the corporate shoulder shrug thing. There was a long thread here about it which I'd point you to if only the search facility was working.

Those look like netware processes - the NW login script and the NW tray icon - is the Netware client installed? if so,maybe you just need to upgrade the client to 32-bit version.
