I get this message when I am messing with my computer. This message mainly happens when I am downloading something.

***STOP: 0*0000000A 0x00000100,0x00000002,0x00000000,0x80460863)IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL

Begining of dump of physical memory

My system is a Western Digital 40 gig hardrive. Geforce 4 128 mg memory. 2.4 gighetZ, 1024 Dimm memory (I think its Dimm), Asus motherboard.

What is it? What is it doing? How do I get rid of it? I tried looking other forums and tried everything even the virus thing (which I deleted it). But what is it? How do i get this darn thing out of my computer?.

This is not a virus.
This is a critical STOP error message.

0x0000000A: IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL
Typically due to a bad driver, or faulty or incompatible hardware or software. Technically, this error condition means that a kernel-mode process or driver tried to access a memory location to which it did not have permission, or at a kernel Interrupt ReQuest Level (IRQL) that was too high. (A kernel-mode process can access only other processes that have an IRQL lower than, or equal to, its own.)

Check everything hardware that you installed recently. You may have to remove anything and add it back a piece at a time until the error is thrown.

Be sure to use Device Manager to uninstall the drivers for a device before removing it. You need only focus on new hardware.

So you're saying unistall/reinstall everything. Video Card, Memory Sticks, Hard Drive ( Replug it in and out) dust the inside of the machine. Clean out the memory sticks with an eraser? I had this problem for a long time I just ignored it untill the point, it got irritating.

The only thing that I haven't installed is the RAID Controller, but I went to the unplug options and unpluged it in the control panel. I am about to see if it solved the problem, I don't think it did but we will see.

Have you ever checked the memory to see if its bad?

I fixed the problem... or at least I think I did, all I did was leave everything installed and then went inside my system unpluged everything and put a new cd-rom/dvd player. It happend only one time when I did this, then after that it seemed that it went away... but before all that I try just switching the memory in a diffrent memory slot. That didn't work and then I just did what I said above this.

I know some diffrences when the happend in my computer. One of them was when a application had an error it kicked me out to windows and write it in a notepad instead of locking up.

Another thing I think my hard drive it crapping out on me, because when I replugged it in, BIOS didn't see it. Then, tried again and saw it but had Drive falure error. THEN, I tried it again and it worked. Now it working ever since we speaker. Does this mean I have a bad hard drive?
