I need to setup a temp backup of the PDC until a new Win2k PDC is installed. I am running NTbackup to backup the local disk. I have created a bat file with the following string

ntbackup backup C:\*.* E:\*.* F:\*.* /v /d "halbackup" /b /hcn /t copy l/ "C:\ntbackup.log" /tape:0

I have scheduled this using AT. The backup starts but ends asap, no files backed up, am I not able to backup C:\*.* in this format? Any sugesstion?

Hi funstur,

with ntbackup you must not use any placeholders like * or ?

Use it like this:

ntbackup backup C: E: F: /v /d "halbackup" /b /hcn /t copy l/ "C:\ntbackup.log" /tape:0
