Hello, I am wondering if I can take advantage of the DCH on the NT5D12AH card without actually having PRI service?
I need to connect this card to an external Cisco router which will provide voice prompts to the caller.
I was told I would need the PRI/T1 card with D channel available. Since all the calls are internal, I didn't understand the purpose of PRI service.

you will most likely need to build the PRI to connect with the Cisco to have a voice path for the caller prompts and cable it to the cisco port

You will also need Qsig enabled to talk to the cisco. I not sure it is a package or option that needs to be installed before you can communicate with the Cisco.
