I've just loaded the Microsoft TCP/IP Printing service on NT4 SP6a.
After a re-boot I'm still not getting a Standard TCP/IP port, when I go to setup a new printer.

The only thing I haven't done yet has been to re-install SP6a but I would have thought the option to use the port should still be visible?

If the printer(s) are HP, try using the Hewlett-Packard Network Port selection to add the printer, if this choice is available to you. We don't usually use the Standard TCP/IP Port when adding printers.

When prompted to select or create a port, select LPR. This is where you can enter a name for the port and the IP address.
