I have an NT4 server that holds gis data. We hard map the users to a drive letter for this share.
I have over 50 Win2000 clients, but I have one client, that constantly loses their connection to this share. In addition, sometimes, the drive won't map when the login script runs. If I use this workstation, it can happen to me with my user profile.
This is a heavy gis user, but I have about 10 of those, and again only this machine. All of our other shares are to Win2000 servers.
I have ruled out the hardware issues: network card, cable, port, etc. etc.
I have read the Microsoft articles on how autodisconnect works. Our server was at the default of 15.
I am at a loss as to why one station would have this problem? Clues?
