Yes I know NT 4 is a dino, but I had no control over that.

I have a group on the DC (nt4 box) for a group of users. I want to allow modify permissions to a folder on a W2K box using that group. However, when I attempt to add the group the group doesnt show up on the list, all the users are there but not my groups.

Suggestions?

NT Server was picky about what groups can be added to other groups. What are the group types? I'm no expert on NT but I beleive you can only add domain groups to domain local (or is it simply local on NT) groups. Try to follow this format:

add users to domain groups.
add domain groups to domain local groups.
give NTFS permissions to resources to domain local groups.

You might have better luck posting a question like this in a thread that relates to NT server.
