I am in an NT 4 domain environment and I want to upgrade to win2k pro. I have several tools, I use such as user manager, server manager, NT 4 resource kit, system policy editor, etc. on this machine. Does anyone have experience running these tools on a 2k pro machine and how well does it work? Thanks for any help.

I am running the same thing on my network. Server and user manager work fine, but policy editor won't work. I know you can use most of the resource kit tools on 2K, if not all of them. Are you planning on keeping an NT domain controller?

OK, cool. I can live without system policy editor on my box, as long as the other stuff runs OK. I plan on keeping the NT domain controller for the immediate future. Will be moving to a 2000 platform, but exact timeframe is unknown.

Thanks!
