Our ISP has recently set up an ADSL connection to our LAN. We have an Alcatel Speedtouch 510 router connected to a Windows NT4 (SP6)Server and a Firebrick Firewall. The server becomes unreachable (cannot ping or VPN) outside of office hours or during periods of inactivity. The connection to the server appears to time-out or go to sleep. Our ISP states that the ADSL router and firewall are pingable 24/7. Has anyone come across this problem before ? Any suggestions would be welcome ?
