Hi Guys,

Say I want to kick off all Domain Users at 10:00 PM tonight. Is there a way I can Schedule this on the server? Also, what if the users are logging in locally to their machine but with access to the domain? Will they be kicked off too?

I sometimes need users to shut down their computers at night for backups but there's always a few who dont listen. Please advise. Thanks!

You can set time limits through user manager. you would go set account properties > hours > set to the hours you want to have users access the domain. Then from User manager > Policies > Account > At the bottom of this page check the box that reads - Forcibly disconnect remote users from server when logon hours expire.

Hi Killman,

Thanks for the info. However, taking your approach, it seems like I have to do this for all user accounts individually. Is there a way to log off all domain users at a certain time globally rather than going to the properties of each user account and setting the hours?

Also, I was playing with the hour settings. There's a allow and disallow button. I believe there's a blue box for the time you are allowed and white box for the times you are not allowed. So I dragged from 10 PM to 12 AM and hit the "disallow" button and that part was white boxes. Seems correct?
