We are currently readdressing our network and I am getting these errors after changing the IP address of our 6.1.2 backup server (Solaris). The errors are occurring on lab systems that are on a different subnet. The Unix clients are backing up fine. Is there a setting that needs to be changed on the NT side of the house to make these work again?

Thanks!

Your NT hosts and server file/s, has that been updated with the new IP address of the backup server?

Actually the problem was that on the Solaris backup server, I had 2 IP addresses assigned to one interface. I guess this was confusing the NT clients and thus the hostname mismatch errors. I removed the 2nd IP address and the clients are backing up now.

Thanks....

Mike
