Hello,

I have searched around for awhile and STILL can't seem to find a fix for this jam.

I have an NT4 Server SP6.

windows nt 4 server stopped running any new exe files that are brought onto the system, but will execute previously installed programs.

this does not affect any other files that i have noticed

For example if I download an upgrade or another program a, When I run it, the cursor turns to a hour glass for 1sec and program fails to execute.

Any help would be appreciated.

I can initiate a remote desktop session if you think you can help that way.

Someone already suggested to take ownership of the files, but I am the admin and did that again with no luck still

Thanks

Are you sure its a Windows problem, and not an InstallShield problem?

Have you tried removing all the tempory files and folders from your TEMP directory? [auto] MCSE NT4/W2K

Hello again,

I cleared the problem above and it had no effect.

If any other solutions are suggested please post. I personally think something within the registry was corrupted.

Again if you are willing I can show you via remote desktop.

Thanks again for the help everyone. ___________________________________________________
