NT 4.0 RAS Problem

After installing Microsoft’s latest security patch, RAS quit working. Since then I have removed their infamous security patch, but before I found out about the fix, I had reinstalled RAS. My question is: Should I also reinstall service pack 6, if I do, will it affect my LAN or any existing network configurations or server functions.

I now have RAS working but every time somebody tries to dial in, the system disables the com port.

Any help will be appreciated.

Yes. You need to reapply SP6a + SP6a SRP + Sec Updates... less 823803, unless you have the new one.
