Does anybody know what might be causing our savegrp automatic clones to fail? We are running NetWorker 6.1.2.

NetWorker Savegroup: (notice) Default Clone completed, 46 client(s) (Save Set Cloning Failed)
Start time: Fri Oct 8 17:20:00 2004
Clone Start: Sat Oct 9 03:15:49 2004
End time: Sat Oct 9 03:21:20 2004
Automatic cloning of save sets to pool Default Clone failed.

nsrclone: find_vol missing volume info

nsrclone: add_to_snodes: FALSE from loc_volid

Thanks!

I assume that you had previous successful runs.

If you do not have forgotten to label media for that pool, it looks that you have a media db problem as it can not find a volume id. Have a look at the other logs and see whether you can find more specific error messages.

You may try to scavenge the media db to solve the problem:
- shutdown the server daemons/services
- In the /nsr/mm/mmvolume, delete all these files:
clients_*.*
ss_*.*
vol_*.*
Be careful - only delte the "_" files !!!!!
- Restart NW - nsrd will rebuild the missing files.

If this does not help, you must recover the media db with
the standard procedures (mmrecov).
