Hi,

Hope someone can get me out of a bind here.

Networker backs up to disk (EMC CDL) and then we clone to LTO.

I now need to change the expiration time of the savesets that are on physical tape (set them to 1 year expiration) which I understand obviously then also changes the saveset on the CDL. I've no problems with that.

I've been told I should run the command:

nsrmm -o recyclable -S ssid/cloneid

against the savesets/cloneids on the CDL else the disk is just going to keep filling up.

When I run that command it produces an error:

'cloneid is invalid with -o [not]recyclable'

Does anyone know how to do what I'm attempting or understand me!

Peter

Use "nsrmmd -e retention_date -S ssid/cloneid".

If you have at least NW 7.3 installed you can assign a seperate retention policy to your clone pool. This would make your life much easier.
