NRU Backup

I just did a system back up of a MICS rel 4.1 using NRU version 11.
This system also has a NAM voicemail. It took about 20 minutes to complete.
Can anyone tell me if this backup picks up all data including voicemail programming? If not what would I be missing and would I be able to view missed info using the NRU tools so I can write down any programming info that I may need in the event I had to do a restore?

Do you know the number of floppies,size, format etc?
How to you run the backup?
Would it be possible for me to run the backup to floppy from the NRU program as long as I had someone to mount floppies for me?

To backup a NAM you login to F983 and dial 22. Follow the prompts until the backup is complete. Disks are standard 1.44 MB in FAT format. The number of disks needed depends on how many mailboxes are in use. I'd have at least 5 disks handy. If you are using the M7310 set emulation to program then you could have someone on site to insert and remove floppies as needed. Label the disks 1, 2, 3 etc. as the backup progresses.

Is this processor intensive?
Should perform the backup during off hours.
Does it take long?
Does the back up include all mailboxes, auto-attendant path settings etc?
Does it backup users greeting and/or stored messages?

A backup or restore takes the voicemail out of service. My experience has been that it takes about 10-15 minutes.

From the manual:

When you back up Norstar Voice Mail programming, you will copy the following:

• System configuration parameters
• Company Greetings
• Mailbox programing
• Directory Name recordings
• Group Lists
• CCR information including CCR Trees, paths, and prompts
• Personal greetings
• Personalized greeting setup

Voice messages are not copied when you back up your Norstar Voice Mail programming.

Now I just have to go shopping for floppy diskettes.
Man, I haven't done that in about 15 years :)

What is NVM Manager?
Is this an app included with NRU or something different?

First 3 major stores I went to in January....none of them carried the floppy's any longer, but I did eventually find them elsewhere.

Don't forget to backup under F915/Admin/backup, this will backup your purchased key codes.
