I am in the process of adding all the area codes in the NPA. When I try to add 13XX or 18XX I get a ESN082 error. All other codes work. What is blocking these area codes?

Thanks
Bill

18xx is probably built as an SPN

ESN0082 Second digit (or third for 1+ dialing) of NPA code is invalid.
Action:
Severity: Info. Critical to Monitor: No. SNMP trap: No

An update. Actually it is the third digit it will not accept. If the third digit is not a 0 or 1 it won't accept it. I am able to enter the number as a SPN

Thanks
Bill

Telephony 101 back in the day, always remember, an area codes second digit will always be a 0 or 1.

That's probably the case. The switch may be old enough that the new area codes are not available. I will add them to the SPN.

Thanks for the response
Bill
