Notstar MICS and Startalk - AA answers line 1 too soon

Thanks in advance for any help.

Nortel 0x32 with Startalk 4 port, 5 incoming lines, 20 extensions.
set up and has always worked where the receptionist has 4 rings to answer the call and if it is not answered in time AA takes the call.
I replaced the 0x16 station module within the last month but do not see where that would matter. Lines 1-5 are set up the same way in Startalk -> AA -> Lines -> Rings are set to 4. Not sure why line 1 picks up after only 2.


2nd prob: one person if you use the name directory in AA to call her it goes straight to her VM, where if you dial her extension or xfer call to her it rings her phone first.

Check for a ringing phone having Call forward/No answer set to go to the Startalk DN after 2 rings.

Is the ring normal or is it a double ring from the CO if it is the Flash sees it as 2 not one ring so 2 double will equal 4. Need to call the CO to change the rings or bump the rings up to 8.

exsmogger, I think it would go to that person's VM not the AA if the extension was set to fwd to Startalk on 2 rings, no?

Cook, normal rings to the extensions, I can put a butt set on the line to see. This only happens with Line 1 is the part that is throwing me.

Yes, but I couldn't think of anything else that would cause the AA to answer too soon. Have you tried bumping the rings on line 1? Also check to see that no lines are assigned to the voicemail extensions.

Actually upon further review line 1 is receiving a double ring...I will call the telco (Comcast) to ask them to fix. I expect they will deny the problem is theirs.
