Notes Truncate when Exporting to Excel

I am using Project 2000, and have been exporting to Excel using a custom map. Most of the important project updates are held in the form of Notes, but I cannot get the full text of the note section to show up in Excel...it cuts off after a certain number of characters with a '...'. I need to find a way to export the FULL text of all notes to excel. Any suggestions?

This is a known limitation during the export/import process. (I can't remember if truncation happens at 255, 511 or 1023 characters.)

In addition, Excel will only display 1024 characters in a cell (anything beyond that appears in the text-entry box at the top).
