Not enough memory on Exchange server to hold all rules 3

I get many emails a day and I want to set up various rules using Outlook's rules wizard to file the emails in proper folders for easier access. While I was doing this I received this message- “There is not enough memory on the exchange server to hold all of your rules. The ones that can not be saved have been deactivated.” Is this just because my account box is big OR is it a limitation on everyone’s mailbox?

Any ideas or suggestions are greatly appreciated.

You don't mention how many rules you have?

This is because Microsoft didn't give rules enough space when writing their software. There is a 32Kb data limit for all rules per folder and "Out of Office" messages are stored as rules. It may help to clean some old ones out.

It will also help to delete some old rules no longer being used. Microsoft also mentions when listed multiple users it saves space to create a distribution list of all the users instead of listing them individualy per rule.
