We have 5 7410 phones in one room. When the agents are busy, they sometimes transfer calls and the call will just stay on their phone. For a typical station, I have three appearances of that station and 2 bridged appearances for the other stations in the room. The COR's are all the same.
Restricted last appearance is Y. Do I need more than a 10 button phone? Any ideas?

Are they having the problem when they are on calls for the bridged-appearances. Say you have two bridged appearances of someone elses phone (we'll use an example of extension 1000) and extension 1000 is on line 1 with a call, then ext 1000 gets a call to their second line, but they can't answer it, so the person with their bridged appearance answers. Now, if the person with the bridged-appearance tries to transfer, it won't because they don't have any more bridged appearances left.(Line 1 is already in use and they are talking on line 2) When you try to transfer a bridged appearance call, it will not use your own lines to transfer, it will only use the lines that you have bridged. I would recommend putting the 3rd bridged appearance on everyone's phone, and they shouldn't have the problem anymore.

I think the scenario you described is most likely correct. The 3 bridged appearances for each phone is the way to go, but I have 5 10 button phones, so I need more buttons! thanks.

Change "Auto Select Any Idle Appearance?" to yes and this will fix your problem.
