I installed XP Pro on a machine running W2K, and I can not get some of my application to show up on the XP Pro start menu. MS Office works fine, but my Adobe applications are still in the W2K side (and run fine there). Any ideas how to make all the installed app's on the W2K side work on the XP Pro side?

Thanks for any assistance

The apps that you want to use need to be installed on the operating system that you will be using. Are you expecting to share applications between two seperate operating systems on the same computer?

Actually, I was planning on just using the XP Pro, and not using the Windows 2000.

Then you'd be better upgrading 2k to XP or backing up, wiping the drive and installing XP clean and reinstalling all apps.

Did you install XP into same partition as 2k (not a good idea if you have)?

I realized that I should have upgraded, I remember some bad experiences upgrading from Win98 to W2K. Is there any way to "uninstall" XP Pro, then start over with an upgrade?

You can install XP over the 2000 partition by running it (XP Setup) from within 2000. Or you can just re-install the programs in to the current XP.
