We have norton antivirus corporate edition for our servers and I would like to know if anyone could give me some insight to a notification popup window we see:

Norton AntiVirus Notification
Event: Virus Found!
Virus name: W32.Netsky.P@mm!enc
File: C:\program files\Exchsrvr\Mailroot\vsi 1\Queue
Computer: MAIN
User: SYSTEM
Action taken: Clean failed : Quarantine failed: Access denied.

Does this mean that the virus is in someone's mailbox already and norton could not clean it?

Thanks.

The AV detected the virus in the queue, but was unable to do anything about it because the Exchange was keeping it locked, while it processed the email for delivery.

Check the symantec site for installing AV on Exchange, there is a bunch of folders you should exclude.
But this exclusion assumes you are running something like Symantec mail Security for Exchange that picks up the virus on the way in.

Here's a few links

Also check out Document ID:2001122016093248 on Symantec.com

Hope this helps
