This should be easy for anyone who is in the know about Nortel tele's: Whats the difference between the two?

Is one the replacement of the other because it was being discontinued? Can one do more outgoing lines? Can they both function on MCIS 7.0? I ask this because we need to purchase some new phones to replace broken units which are all T7316E which are more expensive per set. We have 5 outgoing lines. Just curious as to make the correct purchase.

Notice that the T-7316-E set has three buttons below the dial pad?

That new button is the hands free/mute button, which consequently frees up the lower right hand line button on that set.

Otherwise it's the very same phone as far as I know.

Also the system see's T7316 as M7310 and places line appearance on the 4th button down, T7316 also cannot accept a KIM. The T7316E would be a better phone for your system.
