Hello there. I have been trying to find an answer to my question but am unable to do so consider there are no instructions out there and Nortel is, I assume, going down the tube and you can't even reach Corporate.

This is what I'm trying to do:

There are 5 people in the office who receive calls. I only want to get 1 of them. I want callers to dial the respective extensions and it only ring on their phones, except for one.

I want the other one to ring on 3 different phones and be able to picked up at those phones.

IE: My boss doesn't answer his phone, and the other 4 don't pay us to answer the phones so they get can get their own.

I put it on night ring and asked callers to hit my extension but it can only be picked up at that specific phone. Is there anything I can dO?

Thank you.

Put your boss's DN on the other phones by using an answer DN key. You may have to play with the call forward timers to get the call to go the right voice mail.

Thank you, I appreciate the quick reply.

Unfortunately, I really have no idea what you're talking about. I suppose that points me in the right direction but I have no idea what you mean by DN.

It's a complicated phone system, to us anyway. I have figured out what I can but there is absolutely nothing I could find to explain anything about it and I just don't have enough time to mess with it for hours.

If you could clarify your response a little, I would greatly appreciate it, thanks.

Ah, perfect time to call a vendor. It is not too complicated for him or her and they can help simplify it for you.
