Hi,

I hope someone can help me sort this out, or at least explain the reason behind my problem.

I'm running win2000 and Nortel VPN Contivity client to connect to my work network. When I go online at home on broadband adsl I can get connected to work OK. However using the same PC, when dialing in using a mobile phone via infra red, I get an internet connection ok and can ping the work host (20 packets sent but 40%lost), but cannot log onto my work network, all I receive is a 'Login failed. Please verify the entered login information is correct' message.

Any ideas would be appreciated ?

At first, check your VPN server's IPsec NAT Traversal setting. This's a new protocol allow the client dialup behind Firewall and NAT.

Second, ask your mobile network company set VPN Pass Through.

In china,I can dialup my company's Nortel VPN with "IPsec NAT Traversal" active.

But I don't know why the performance is so bad when "IPsec NAT Traversal" has been turn on.
