I’d appreciate help in programming Nortel Cics 7.1 for extl voicemail. I’ve answered yes under each T7316e for both caller ID set and Extl VMsg set and also entered under Telco features the 7 digit phone number in VMsg center 1,2 & 3. I’m using a CI trunk card. Is there something I’m missing in either programming or hardware? I would appreciate any help I can get. Btw caller ID works.

FYI the voicemail message center "VMsg ctr" only needs to be the number or code to check the messages.
VM1 is for one company, VM2 is for another company etc.
It has nothing to do with your issue.
In the land of where I am pressing line 1 (where the message is from by the carrier) is where I would enter this dial string:
*98pausePassword, or enter the phone number given by the carrier which in that case can be used from anywhere.
*98 is the code to check messages
Pause is to wait for the system to answer, use F78 to add it
Password, just that
*98P1234
or
XXX-XXX-XXXXP1234
Aside form msg center it appears you have the correct programming.
You do have to leave a new test message after programming, it will not detect current unread messages.
Do you have the stuttered dial tone on line 1 when there is a new message?
