Nortel 1750

I am straing at a Nortel 1750 for the first time, I have no real VPN experience. I want to upgrade the code level of the VPN based on the request of the customer. I need help in finding out how to upgrade the code level on the 1750.

The option to upgrade the OS is under the Administration menu. The VPN server uses FTP as a client to pull the new OS from an FTP server. I can post more/better details a bit later today when I am looking at the GUI.

I am still having issues. I am local to the 1750 VPN that I am trying to upgrade. I have setup my FTP server so the TAR file for the upgrade is in the root of /. The file is V06_05.140.tar.gz.

When I use the GUI I get- Unable to obtain directory listing from the remote host. Please refer to the event log for details

I put in the IP, make the path / put in version V05_06.140, userID and password

When I use the CLI I put in- retrieve software 10.39.1.105 version V06_05.140.tar.gz path / uid admin password ****

I get invalid version number

Hi Loufran,

You will need to make sure of the following:

1.) The File V06_05.140.tar.gz should be located in the correct FTP server location/path..

2.) Path should have the following V06_05.140.tar.gz exactly.

3.) Version should have V06_05.140

This will work you can use Serv U as a FTP server
