Thank you Brian. I got it defaulted however this customer turned out to be a real deadbeat.

He owned me a balance and was only going to pay half until I got his service working again. He was the one that needed the DS modules. I loaned him two of mine and told him either pay the balance or find yourself another vendor.

It got nasty and his partner blocked me in the parking lot until I told him I was calling the police.

This was a boiler room mortgage loan operation or as my XO rep. calls them the slimy mortgage guys.

They have been a real pain from the start. I should have known something was not right when he told me he did not want his usual vendor to do the work and he started making promises to me of more offices opening. Then he said that they might be moving next month. They just moved into a beautful office park.

All of my equipment got stuck in the elevator one night and the repair man had to be called out and this slim actually expected to bill me for that service call. I got stuck and I he expects me to pay to fix the elevator.

Anyway I know all of us have these horror stories. I am so use to having wonderful customers that when one of these boiler room slimes comes by I get caught off guard.

It was a rush job and I always have problmes with getting paid for rush work. From now on new customers with rush work will be COD and the check gets cashed first.

I did manage to pull my two DS modules that he never paid for. he did get back up and running so I guess some poor vendor wanting to help got suckered in like me.

Well at least I got a deposit payment out of the guy. I guess I broke even that is better than nothing.

The unfortunate reality is that there are people out there who want something for nothing. You do work for them and they act offended that you have the nerve to expect to make money. The good news is that not everyone is like that. We have some absolute wonderful customers and we have some that are not so wonderful. I have some horror stories but I have some good stories too and the good stories outnumber the bad.

That is what this guy did he acted insulted that I expect to get paid. I told him there was now a trust issue at hand.

The part of the story that doesn't make sense is:

"He owned me a balance and was only going to pay half until I got his service working again"

Were you expecting full payment when it sounds like the customer was down?

With out all the details. This guy has been delaying me for a few weeks. He was a self install until he got over his head with this Norstar 8x16.

He would not return phones calls and messages you know the routine.

I already told him once when he got nasty and tried to tell me how to do my work that he should find himself another vendor.
