Hello All-

In the process of installing a PRI circuit for a new customer of mine, completed the cutover on Friday, and discoverd a conflict on the routing today...went thru everything I could think of, but couldn't find out where the conflict originates.

The scenario:

Customer has a Norstar MICS with 6.1 XC software. 3 digit DN's, only 16 incoming DID's (port from existing analog service). Set up for dial "9" for outbound. Everything inbound and outbound works without a hitch, with the exception of the digits "9,21" (ie a local area code is 214).

If you try to dial a number say "9, 214-555-1212" it comes back as invalid number as soon as you hit the "9,2".

Went back to see if I could locate the problem and buypass it by extending the routing codes, however the ONLY one I seem to have a conflict with is "9,21" (922,923,924 etc all work as separate routing codes)...which figures, because it's the one I need to dial :-/.

Anyway, went thru and couldn't really find any conflicts. Hoping someone here might be able to throw me a bone-

Thanks in advance!

Did you set upa dial plan for 214 as 10 digit

10 digit is global in the public network settings, as default...

Technically, it wouldn't just be 214, but any area code with a 2 followed by any digit. However, if I were to go in and build different routing codes for every 2 followed by another number, 2+1 is the only one the software won't let me build (hence the one with the conflict).

What is your desti code 9(any) or just 9? If it is 9(any) use the view command under desti codes and see if 92 is being used somewhere else. It will say Unavail if it is being used by something else.

Checked it out today. It is set up as 9(any). The conflict is with 92, as I have one incoming DID which is 9921...

In the process of trying to get the provider to set it up in an index to outpulse me different numbers, but retain the original DID, which should correct it.
