Hi,

I just installed a Norstar NAM Unit with Nortel MICS PRI Setup. Whenever I call my main company number, I get a recording "The Person you have called is not available" and then it plays my personalized greetings and allows me to use CCR prompts.

My question is, how can or where can I find the option to disable this default recording so that when my customers call, they hear my peronalized custom greeting instead of "The person you have called is not available" and they hang up.

Any help will be appreciated.

You have a phone forward to the voicemail DN but don't have a mailbox setup for that user and that prompt is design intent. And unfortunately this cannot be changed.

Now, if it's an incoming external call (not answered by a receptionist or Auto Attendant then transferred) and you get the canned announcement prior to your custom prompt, then you have a line that rings on a phone which has CFNA to VM, and there is no voicemail for that phone. If this is the case, just have the Auto Attendant answer that line and remove the CFNA to VM.
