We have 2 Norstar MICS linked together via a Point 2 Point T-1. They are using Cetralized VM, etc. Would it be possible for the Main site to be able to Page to the other site? I was thinking about having them do a voice call to a certain extension and then hook a Self Amplified Paging speaker to the speaker of that phone. They cannot voice call now to the other site though. If they do Voice call and dial a remote extension, the phone rings. We have done this before with IP phones at remote sites but never on two different systems. Any ideas?

set up a remote package on the second site then when dialing in you will get the dial tone you put in a password and then can dial a code for paging access. you don't have simultaneous paging. this would also get you the voice call.

shouldn't have any problems as you already have all the hardware in place this would just involve programming. caution is needed for outside line access though so make sure to restrict that unless you want remote users to have access to outside dial tone.

Look up DISA dialing in the programmers guide

jerryreeve: are you confident that you can get voice call to work over a PRI using a DISA DN as you suggests? We've only been abe to get page to work and target line dialing to work over DISA, and then only if it's properly enabled in the COS-assigned RA package. There's money in it for you if you can truly make this happen. MICS 7.1

I hope you're right.
