Hello Everyone! This is my first post on Tek-Tips!
I’m taking on the task of managing two Norstar Modular ICS sites. I have yet to make an actual site visit.
In the meanwhile, I’m trying to get remote access to each site for the purpose of programming and backing up the phone/ voicemail systems.

Site 1 has Norstar MICS version 4.0 and Site 2 has version 4.1. I’m not sure if the voicemail system at either site is FlaskTalk, StarTalk or Call Pilot.
It is my understanding that the sites I’m trying to access both have a RAD of some sort connected.
I downloaded a copy of NRU version 9.1 from Avaya that included Norstar ICS Remote Tools, Norstar Manager 3.5, Norstar Voice Mail Manager 3.0 and Norstar Voice Mail Manager 4.0.

Questions:
1. Can anyone tell me if NRU version 9.1 will work with MICS 4.0 or 4.1?
2. When I make a site visit, can I connect my laptop directly to the system via the RAD or some other method and would I need a serial cable or a null modem adapter to make the PC connection?
