I just tried to generate keycodes for a Norstar PRI enabler that I've had on the shelf for a while. I merrilly dialed the 800 number, entered the Express Routing Code and was met with a 'no such destination' error. Speaking to a customer service rep. I was advised that all activations are now being done via the website at and that the IVR has been decomissioned effective last October.
The kicker is that you now have to be a registered distributor to access that portion of their site. I'm an end user, not a distributor and I hadn't tied this code to a particular KSU before using the IVR because I hadn't needed another instance of that facility yet... now I do and I seem to have some very expensive pieces of paper that I can't use.
Has anyone else encountered this yet and come up with a solution? Surely I can't be the only end user who keeps stocks of spare parts (and the possibly needed keys) on hand.
Obviously my original reseller is no longer around to do this activation for me. Any thoughts?
