Hello. We have a Definity 3GSI version 11 switch. If someone dials a DID that is currently not active in our system it is going to a specific announcement in our switch saying we are closed. This is regardless of the time-of-day. Can anyone tell me how to track down where in the switch it tells non-working numbers to point to?

Thank you.

look at system-parameters features. on page one there is a field "DID/Tie/ISDN/SIP Intercept Treatment:" which points to an announcment for when you dial an undefined station.

Thank you, I had looked at that but wasn't sure. It points to an attd (7000) which is no longer in use. Is there anyway to direct it to a VDN or Vector? I didn't see a coverage option on the attendant form and on the system parameters feature it appears to want only an annoucement or attendant.

Is my only option to record an annoucement that says "You've reached a non-working number at.... please hang-up and dial xxx-xxxx to reach us"?

Again thanks for your help on this. It's been an issue for a long time but doesn't happen that often...although it did happen to a client today.

It can only goto the attd or an announcement. In my case we give out the main number which goes into an auto attendant.
