I have always had turned off "non recipient" notifications to the Admistrator on my Exchange server. Recently I noticed increased activity and turned back on the notification. Last night 2300 emails came in for non-recipients. Browsing the list I see some spammer is just randomly sending out last names hoping for a hit. ie.. SMith@mycompany.com, jones @ mycompany.com, etc.
Is there any way I can configure my server to reject the email at the sender? In other words, when my server receives a notification that someone is sending an email to a non-recipient, it just says "don't send" and the email with the attachment does not come in, thus not taxing my server as much.
