Hi,
i thought i had configured my dns automatically when i created my AD domain but now i think i have errors. when i ping fqdn or ip address, it works. when i use nslookup i get this message

Code:
***Can't find server name for address 190.200.200.248:Non-existent domain.
Server:UnKnown
Address:190.200.200.248

Name:topdog.net
Address:190.200.200.248

topdog.net resolves to 208.73.210.121

the 190.200.200.248 is invalid and resolves as non-existent domain in my tests as well.

Where are you getting this IP?
Check you DNS cache for this domain. Or clear it all together.

topdog.net is a domain i have created in our intranet at work. its an AD domain really.

if i remember right i ran ipconfig /flushdns and ipconfig /registerdns

Make sure you have a internal A record to keep the internal. otherwise, it will go out to the internet and find the actual website. As far as the 190.200.200.248, that would be a Public IP and not a usable IP set for an intranet/AD environment.

further explain:
if you do a nslookup and punch in 190.200.200.248; then nslookup knows to go out to the Public domain(internet) to find a resolution.

You will need to re-IP your PRIVATE DOMAIN.
