Installed Xp Pro and no longer have sound from system or speakers. Bought new sound card and installed in a pci slot after removing Analog Device 1816a ISA sound card from isa slot. Still no sound and new card not detected by xp. Anybody got a guess at why? what I did wrong?

no sound: replaced isa card with pci sound card

I am lousy at these issues, but a recent thread suggestion struck me as a first crack at the issue:
You should of course use Google or the CD if included with the sound board to install any drivers needed. These are very specific drivers for each sound device.
