no screen with new abit k7ta

I am trying to change my motherboard from a asus a7v to a abit k7ta and after putting the abit in my case and plugging in my monitor I get nothing no screen at all.If I put everything back I get a picture.There is no way I can do anything as far as updated drivers,bios or anything else if I have no screen.Is there something I am missing here I am so frustrated can someone help?

no there are no beeps at all

Is it something silly like the Cmos jumper is set to clear?
Try clearing the CMos anyway to see if it will allow a setup screen. Martin Please let members know if there advice has helped any.

No I hate to say that the cmos was not the problem.But I would like to mention that any and all responses are appreciated so much I thank you all for the help god knows I need it!!!!
