Is there some sort of bug with Windows2000 with respect to scheduled tasks?
I've tried setting up automated backups with the built in backup software and every time a task is supposed to kick in it never does.
I've also tried to automate the McAfee DAT update's using FTP and it's the same thing: it never kicks in. If I hit the update now button it works perfectly, so it's not a connection problem.
Is this a known problem with Windows2000 or is there some setting I'm not aware of or some utility that must be installed?
With Novell 4.1 I never had this problem. It seems silly that something as fundamental as this wouldn't work in Win2000; I thought that's what computers were for.
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.
