Hey all,

4.1GA system (406v2) with a PRI and an h.323 trunk to a cisco call manager. Calls back and forth directly between handsets work fine. Calls coming in on the PRI that are routed directly to a cisco handset work fine. However, if a call touches a VMPro AA first and is then transfered, the customer calling in hears no ringback - just silence until the cisco phone is answered.

Any ideas? This used to work just fine then inexplicably stopped working this past monday. As far as I can tell nothing has changed so I'm pretty baffled.

Are you sure that you got ring back? or Music on Hold?

Dial *34 and check MOH

No, definitely ringback. Using transfer, not assisted transfer.

Any other ideas?

If it worked and suddnely stopped then it is not a problem fron the ipoffice
Was there an update on the vmpro server lately ?

Hmm. Moving VMPro to a completely different server didn't help.

I'm starting to think this is a 4.1 issue and that it simply wasn't noticed right away. I'm going to downgrade the system tonight and see what happens.

UPDDATE: This is actually a 4.x issue. I downgraded to 4.0, same problem. Downgraded to 3.2 and it went away.

So, in 4.x firmware if a call is transferred BY THE VMPRO to an extension on a cisco call manager via an h.323 trunk there will be no ringback heard by the outside caller. Handset to handset calls work fine, calls routed directly to a cisco extension via an incoming call route work fine. Just calls transferred (blind) via VMPro on 4.x systems cause this problem.
