When I do a reverse DNS lookup on my domain at , it reports:

Answer:
No PTR records exist for 69.57.###.###. [Neg TTL=7200 seconds]

I have access to my dns records, so is there something I can do to solve the problem?

You need to ask your ISP to add a PTR record for this IP address to their DNS server.

Serbtastic ... thank you for the reply.
I'm not sure why my ISP would need to be involved, because I have access to my own dns. For instanace, I added my own A,MX,CNAME etries for my domain. Should I be able to add a PTR record myself also, or is it somewhere above my dns etries?
I'm using a third party dns company ( which is were I can change my dns information.

Whoever the IP subnet is assigned to has to do the PTR records(since they are in charge of them), so unless your ISP is a very small one then they will probably be able to handle it, although I'm not sure how willing.... Never hurts to call and ask.

Exactly. You do not handle PTR records for your IP address, the ISP who has this IP address assigned to them handles the PTR records.

Okay, thanks guys. I'm going to contact the ISP and ask them to add the PTR record today.
