Its me YogiB again...and im a real big gamer...so i play alot of games...when i installed a pc game to my comp (Warcraft III) it was working fine...i started the program and said... "NO OUTPUT DEVICE AVAILABLE. Please make sure you have the latest version of direct X...so i updated it to the newest one and it still didnt work..i reinstalled my game and STILL it didnt work...i use a program that uninstalls Direct X and then i installed it over again..and it STILL DOESNT WORK!!! Someone tell me what is happening

First, we need to find out what output device the game is referring to - sound or graphics.
Any more details available such as error messages? My suggestions are what I would try myself. If incorrect, I welcome corrections to my rather limited knowledge. Andy.

This is the EXACT msg:

---This application has encountered a critical error:

FATAL ERROR!

Program: C:\PROGRAM FILES\GAMES\WARCRAFT III BETA\WAR3.EXE
File: E:\DRIVE1\TEMP\buildwar3beta\WAR3\SOURCEEngine.cpp
Line: 764

No output device available!

Press OK to terminate the application.-------

First of all...i dont HAVE a E:\...and second..i not sure if its gfx or sound ! :(

Make sure you have the latest video card driver and, if you do, re-install it. Un-install the game and re-install that again. Make sure the game requirements listed on the game box match your computer's specs. "A little knowledge is a dangerous thing....." [morning]
