No more replies after SP4?!

ARCserve stopped sending confirmation e-mail after scheduled jobs since we installed SP4 earlier this week.

In fact AS pretty much sends confirmation mail only when it feels like it.

Any clue? Any fix?

Sp4? What version of ARCserve is this? 6.5 did not have any service packs, 6.61 only went to SP2, and 2000 is already on Sp5. Sp4 for ARCserve 2000 is almost two years old already.

Really your version of ARCserve feels???

As for a fix try modifying the job and make sure it is setup correctly. Also make sure it is correctly configured in the Alert Manager.

 
Yes we just installed SP4, yes it's been 2 years. Hey that,s life!

What was the solution Sparent, in case someone else has the same issue.

I'm Certifiable, not certified.
It just means my answers are from experience, not a book.
 
The problem was rather simple. After installing SP4 Alert Manager was turned off and that is why no confirmation e-mails were sent.

Simple as that,
