hi, I'm back again, back at work and with problems.

one of the machines when turned on, the monitor turned all black and appeared the DOS "_" flashing.
we connected it to another computer as a slave and then opened the disk and all the folders were re-named and some of them were unaccesible, as an example; instead of the Windows folder it appears "Wandows".

I dont know if it is a virus, as the machine wasn't used for about 2 or 3 weeks, it is the most probable.

thanks you so much for your help.

Yes there is the possibility that it is a virus... could also be a bad cable, bad IDE controller, or bad Drive...

If it works don't fix it! If it doesn't use a sledgehammer...

thank you so much, I think we found the problem, it was the ViRobot recovery disk, or bootable disk, something like that. becasue some of the folders were named in korean and the ViRobot folder was the only one that was readeable and well named.

thank you so much for your help
