I have an offsite user who has No Message displayed in the display window of his 4406D+. He said it worked fine when he left Friday and on Monday he saw this and can not see the caller ID any longer. How do I get him back to the display which should be the date and time until a call comes in? In the Definity world we have an exit button but he said he doesn't have an exit button.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Since he does not have an "Exit" button - just have him pickup his receiver and put it down in the cradle again - and his phone should return to the normal date/time display.

Actually, for a 4406 phone, you need to go off hook and dial #54 to exit the messaging mode.

How do I know this? In our area, local prefixes include 541 through 549. Can't tell you how many people miss the 9 and hit # instead, then start dialing without listening for 2nd dial tone!!
