Hi,
We have exchange 5.5 on winnt4, using DNS to send/receive email. Internal email is fine, we can also receive email from outside the network, but we cant send email outside our network. The users arent receiving errors, and its going in their sent items box just fine.
I have closed the relay, however there are thousands of messages that are in the queue awaiting to be sent. I already deleted some (in the exchsvr/imcdata/out folder) and more appeared (but it doesnt seem to be the same ones).
I have tried stopping/starting the service, and rebooted a few times. There's nothing in the Event Viewer indicating a problem. I never encountered something like this before, so I'm pretty much hyperventilating
I'm not sure what else to do.. Should I just open the relay? I'm upgrading to Exchange2000 this weekend and wonder if I could just sacrifice a few days just to keep things quiet and operating around here.
Any help is greatly appreciated!
