no erorrs, but no email help

Problem with our exchang2003 SP1 server (on server2003 in 2003 AD). We seem to have stopped receiving email all of a sudden. Internal email works fine, but not from the outside, however, outside users are not receiving bounce-back messages.

All services are running and I don't see anything in the event logs out of the ordinary.

How can I troubleshoot this?

Lots of NDRs in the outbound queue. Real outbound mail works fine.

No changes on the router or firewall

We did screw around with the OWA settings because a few users were getting 500 errors on web outlook. We followed the instructions from MS KB article 829167 (The exchange virtual directory is either not running in the correct application pool or when the exchangeapplicationpool property has the incorrect identity). But we changed that a few days ago and everything was still working after that.

Where can see the details of the inbound queues?
 
I recently had the same problem. I took me a day to track it back to a bad cable on the firewall.
